This past summer I worked for Skanska Civil at the Kosciuszko Bridge Project Phase I. I worked on the Brooklyn side of the project with the superintendent of deep drainage and flat works. On a daily basis, I would help supervise deep drainage and flat work operations, conduct Daily Hazard Analysis with the foreman and his crew, take field measurements and report out daily cost and quantities to all project stakeholders.

This past summer, I gained a deeper knowledge of the construction industry and the different operations needed to successfully build a bridge. This internship helped me realize I want to pursue a job in the construction industry after graduation. I enjoyed being out in the field and getting the opportunity to be behind the scenes of a half a billion dollar project.
